Obituary for Robert Grindler

Robert   Grindler
Robert T. Grindler, age 88 of Teaneck formerly of Rutherford and E. Rutherford passed away on February 21, 2015 at the NJ Fireman’s Home in Boonton with his family by his side.
Robert was a graduate of East Rutherford H S and after High School he joined The United Sates Navy during WWII serving as an Electricians Mate Second Class on the USS Vinton. After his service, he continued his craft as a member of the IBEW local 102 in Paterson as a full time Electrician for 40 years.
During this time he was active in many organizations, Past Grand Master and a recipient of the 50 year pin from the Boiling Springs Masonic Lodge No. 152 F. & A.M. in Rutherford and the Past Commander of the American Legion Post 109, Rutherford.
He was also Past Fire Chief from 1958 to 1962 of hose Company #3 West End in Rutherford and a Gold member of the Rutherford Blood Bank, along with doing all that he routinely acted as a Clown for the Shriners and also always volunteered to transport burn victims to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Robert is survived by his former wife Marie and was predeceased by his second wife the late Mildred in 1997.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Janie Feinberg and husband Barry and daughter Rosemarie Currey, his adored grandchildren, Joseph Cutalo and his wife Amanda, Rachel Feinberg his great-grandchild, Jonathan Cutalo and his dear friend Gloria. He is pre-deceased by his brother William Grindler and sisters Helen Dmouchowski and Mildred Cuono.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday Feb. 24, 2015, gathering 9:00am in the Calhoun–Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford for 10am Prayer Service with Rev. Peter Wilkinson, officiating.
Interment in Hillside Cemetery , Lyndhurst , NJ
Family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Jersey Fireman's Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005
