Condolence From: Paulina Alvarado-Goldman
Condolence: Dear Janet and Denny:

I am very sorry that I was unable to attend today to give my condolences in person, but I wanted to let you know that you are both in my thoughts. I wish I had the right words to say, but I wanted to let you know that I remember your father as a vibrant, warm, and caring person. Please know that even though I was unable to be there today, I am here to help in anyway I can.

With sincere sympathy,

Paulina

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Marty's family and loved ones. I worked with Marty at Prudential and it was Marty who encouraged me to become active with the LOMA organization. When meetings took place in New York, Marty always called me to travel in with him so as not to be alone. I have fond memories of the LOMA annual conferences we attended together. Marty was a true gentleman, a mentor, a protector, and most of all, a friend. He will be missed.

Condolence: Marty was such a nice guy! I got to know what a kind man Marty was by working with him for many years at Prudential in the Wash Bldg, Fl 13. Marty had a soft spoken way about him and befriended everyone. Marty welcomed visitors in his office & extended hospitality by offering the biggest bowl of candy that he kept on his desk and he made sure it was always filled to the brim. I helped Marty plan his retirement celebration and two years of retirement was not long enough. My sincere condolences to Marty's loved ones.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to Marty's family and of course Joanne. Marty was not only a colleague, but also a friend and mentor to everyone around him at Prudential. His work with LOMA was tireless but so appreciated by so many. Frank and I will miss our outings together. Thank you Marty for touching our lives, you will always be lovingly remembered.

Condolence From: Kathy Milligan and LOMA
Condolence: The LOMA staff will always remember Marty Brophy and the positive impact he made through his dedicated service to his company and the insurance industry.

The LOMA Society of Greater New York is an active group of insurance professionals who have earned a LOMA designation and who serve their companies and the industry at large through a variety of projects and programs that promote continuous learning and professionalism. Marty served on the Board of the LOMA Society of New York from 1985 until the time of his retirement. He was president of the Society in the mid-90s, and served in other roles—official and unofficial—always supporting and facilitating the great work of this dedicated group of insurance professionals.

Marty was passionate about learning and about helping others. He earned LOMA’s prestigious FLMI designation early in his career and was always eager to encourage and help others attain the designation, as well. In fact, we understand that, at Prudential, Marty was known as “Mr. LOMA” because of his tireless efforts to recruit people to take LOMA exams and participate in the LOMA Society of Greater New York.

Marty exemplified professionalism, and he did much to help the LOMA organization and the FLMI professional movement. He will be greatly missed. We offer our condolences to his family and his many friends in the insurance industry.
