Carl Allen Lohrenz, 89, of Asheville, NC, formerly of Rutherford, NJ, died on September 18, 2014. He was a long time member of Rutherford United Methodist Church and Gideons International. He was a proud US World War II Army veteran. He loved the Lord and his family and was always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.
Carl is survived by his son, Allen and his wife Jackie, of Rutherford, his daughter Janet and her husband Roger Amerman, of Coopersburg, PA, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his loving companion and caregiver in later years, Mary Mertens . He is predeceased by wife Gene Medley Lohrenz and his son Mark Lohrenz.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 12:00pm in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford .
Internment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
