Joseph Scott Delaney, 42, of Manchester, formerly of Rutherford for 20 years & Jersey City passed away after bravely battling a long illness on Saturday, December 13th, 2014. He was born in Jersey City to Joseph W. and Susan (nee Ker) Delaney.
Joseph was a 1989 graduate of Rutherford High School and had attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was employed by Mercedes Benz in Montvale as the Warranty Administrator for 15 years. He was a Parishioner of St. Mary Church in Rutherford. He loved music; a big fan of Madonna and enjoyed going to concerts, auto shows and traveling. He was a real “car guy” and loved all models of the Mercedes Benz.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his beloved parents, Joseph and Susan, his loving partner, Douglas Estep, his siblings, Nancy Johnson and her husband Russell, Kelly Simoes and her husband Joseph, John Delaney and 7 nieces and nephews; Richard O’Connell, Amanda O’Connell, Jacqueline O’Connell, Thomas O’Connell, Caroline O’Connell, Jay Johnson and Grace Johnson.

Funeral on Thursday 8:30am from the Calhoun Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 9:30 Mass Of Christian Liturgy in The Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm.
