John L. Krause, Sr., 80, a life long resident of Secaucus, passed away Saturday March 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born to Alfred and Lois (nee Seigner) Krause. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1958.
John was a Funeral Home Assistant with Gerald Blacker Livery Service in Jersey City for 25 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Secaucus. John was an avid Giants and Notre Dame fan.
John is predeceased by his wife, Elsie (nee Clark) and by his brother Alfred. John leaves behind his son John L., Jr. and fiancé Joanie Cabrera, of Kearny, daughter Michelle C. Vanacore and husband John, of Rutherford, and his sister Florence Tarantino, of Secaucus. John will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Lauren, Jonathan, Annie, Lucia, Charlie.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday 4 to 8pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
A Celebration of his life will be on Wednesday 11am, in St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 800 Roosevelt Ave., Secaucus.
