Obituary for Diane Elaine Hayes

Diane Elaine Hayes, of Rutherford, passed away on April 6th, 2016. She was 73 years old.
Known for her cooking, Diane was a self-professed “foodie” and enjoyed making gourmet dinners for her family and friends. She loved the beach, spending many summers on Cape Cod and Long Beach Island. Also among Diane’s interests were travel, music, and watching classic movies. Diane enjoyed planning the Rutherford High School Class of 1960 reunion every five years, always making it a fun-filled weekend; it would begin with cocktails, followed by Diane hosting an elaborate brunch, and usually ending up at Rutt’s Hut.
Diane will be sorely missed and is survived by her loyal and devoted husband of 50 years, Robert A. Hayes; her daughters, Tracey Campana (Michael) and Wendy Sutton (Chad); her loving grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Campana and Isabella Lillian Sutton; and her siblings, Richard Zila and Janice Gallivan (Richard).
Diane is predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Henry Zila.
Visiting hours will be held in Rutherford, NJ at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9th, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held at Calhoun-Mania F.H. on Sunday, April 10th, at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Food Pantry of Rutherford would be greatly appreciated.
