Condolence: To our dear friends, the Maguire Family,

We are deeply saddened that Phyllis has left us, and share your loss and sorrow at her passing.

I’m not surprised at her timing since she had been separated from her beloved Tom for too long. Theirs was the classic love affair that we all dream of having. I remember the night that they came to our home to announce their engagement. They were so happy and so in love that their joy just radiated from them. They knew that theirs would be a ‘happily ever after’ story and it was.

Phyllis and Tom and my mom and dad, Marion and Raymond, shared so many wonderful moments that became happy memories. Phyllis and Tom and their children were a constant, welcome presence our lives. These four friends had a lifelong friendship stronger than any other. They shared stories ‘about the kids’ and their hopes and dreams. We will never know the details of those conversations but that’s not really important.

What we do know is that Phyllis and Tom loved their children, grandchildren and family above all others.
Their children and grandchildren made them proud and happy. Their love embraced you long after the visit had ended and you left knowing that you were valued and loved. They demonstrated their goodness by caring for family and those less fortunate who needed help. Their generosity and kindness was evidenced by their charitable good works and kindness to others.

However saddened we are by the loss that we feel, let us rejoice in the life that Phyllis enjoyed.
She is reunited with loved ones after having been separated from them for too long… I know that her heart is filled with joy at the reunion. Be glad for the time that we had with her, and the wonderful life that we were privileged to share.

Phyllis, we celebrate your life and the amazing woman that we knew you to be. You are loved, you are missed and you remain with us always. So long Kiddo, I love you.
